About Us

In June of 2020, Marissa Gentner, owner of TDR, realized there was a need within the equestrian industry to have access to high quality, comfortable, customizable boots and apparel. And thus, The Distinguished Rider was born.

Since its inception, The Distinguished Rider has provided excellent customer service to everyone – regardless of what boot brands they like the most, their budget, and/or design restrictions or considerations. TDR strives to provide quality boots, boot education, and to assist everyone with finding boots that they not only love because of the design, but that also fit and make them feel good.

In 2022, TDR began offering Virtual Fittings, allowing the TDR experience to be not just limited to physical locations. The same attention to detail, fitting guarantee, and boot warranties are now offered online, not just in person.
