Rocking H Equine is the place you can go to get your horse fix. I believe that if someone wants to be around horses and learn all the information that can possibly be absorbed about them – then they simply ought to. I strive to make the Equine lifestyle as accessible as possible to those who are looking to ”enter the horse world” – or even just dip their toes in!
Horses have been an obsession for me for as long as I can remember, and growing up in the suburbs meant that I had to figure out a way to be around horses. By age 8 I’d managed to convince my parents to sign me up for horse camp and I only became more involved from there, moving from weekly lessons to partial and full leases, showing multiple disciplines in 4h, continuing to compete at small local shows in pleasure, huntseat, ranch, obstacle challenges, and gymkhana events.
I have been a professional in the industry since 2015 and have found a love for connecting people with their horse. From beginners and first time horse owners to those that have been around horses all their lives, I strive to bridge the gap in communication and horsemanship and build confidence up both in the equine and their human partners.
I offer horsemanship lessons that can be tied into both English and Western disciplines. Topics covered are horse behavior, safety, bio mechanics & body control, both the mental and physical sides of riding and interacting with horses in general.
I also work with problem behaviors and offer resources to owners for other important avenues such as vetting and equipment fit.
As a trainer I strive to create a horse that is confident, light, self sufficient and well versed in using their body correctly. I want to work with the horse in a way that benefits their longevity, engages their mind, and helps them to enjoy their work. Ideally the owner is involved with the horse’s development when in training and it’s a seamless transition to hand off the reins.
