While equestrian competition consists of a partnership between horse and rider, often riders find themselves lacking the support from a team of peers. As up and coming equestrian athletes look to their future ahead of them, it is important that they realize their competitive pursuits do not need to come to an end while attending post-secondary education.

The National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) provides opportunities for female riders of the highest level of equine sport to compete in Jumping Seat Fences or Flat as well as Western Horsemanship and Reining. NCEA Teams are permitted to offer a maximum of 15 scholarships which may provide students’ room and board, tuition and fees, etc.. Whether DI, DII, or DIII, there is a place for every equestrian student athlete. See below for a complete list of all the schools participating in the NCEA.
