Early Passions
From a young age, Katie Price has been captivated by filmmaking and videography. With a video camera
always in hand, she would recreate scenes from her favorite films and craft documentaries that captured daily life. As time went on, her passion only intensified as she deepened her understanding of film through cinematography, camera work and editing. An avid music lover, she often envisioned cinematic stories in her mind, prominently featuring horses. Katie was born with a love of horses, started riding at the age of 16 and has since merged her two passions: equestrianism and filmmaking.
The Journey into Video Production:
With years of experience as a copywriter for a marketing company, along with her entrepreneurial
ventures and involvement in equine communities nationwide, Katie’s transition into equine filmmaking and videography feels natural. One of the businesses she co-founded is Priceless Performance Horses,
where she recognized the need for trainers, like her husband Lorin Price, to effectively showcase their skills in a compelling way. She says, “I feel that watching Lorin start, train and compete with horses across various disciplines over the years, including address behavioral issues, has helped me understand different aspects of every equestrian and horse I film. I feel my experiences help me connect and ultimately tell the story of others in the equestrian world.”
Priceless Equine Productions
With a vision to showcase the intimate and profound stories about the relationships we have with horses, Katie began Priceless Equine Productions in 2024. Today, Priceless Equine Productions stands as a respected name in the field of equine videography. Her deep understanding of both the equine industry and the intricacies of film ensures that clients receive personalized, high-quality, authentic productions that resonate with their audience.

Positive Impact of Social Media on the Industry
Katie recognizes the transformative role social media plays in the equine industry, stating that her “career would not exist without it”. Starting with promotional and sales videos on platforms like YouTube and Craigslist, she now helps others leverage their social media as a crucial tool for their business. “While the digital space can be rife with criticism, it also offers an opportunity for individuals to share their stories,” she says. Katie understands the nuances of social media, noting that “presentation and wording can significantly impact perceptions.”
Advice for Aspiring Photographers and Videographers
Katie’s advice to aspiring photographers and videographers is straightforward: pursue your passion. “If you have a true passion for something, just go for it.” Even if the path seems unclear or unprofitable at first, following your passion is invaluable. She encourages newcomers to start with accessible tools — a camera on your phone can be a powerful starting point. “Learn to create and edit professional videos with your phone and editing software/app. Hold off on investing in a camera until you master that,” she advises, highlighting that success can stem from simplicity and creativity.
By integrating her personal interests and professional skills, Katie Price has not only carved a niche in
equine videography but also inspires others to do the same. Her journey exemplifies the power of passion-driven work and the impact it can have within a specialized community. Looking ahead, Katie plans to expand her reach, exploring new collaborations and technological advances that could further
enhance her storytelling capabilities. As she continues her professional evolution, Katie remains committed to helping people deepen their appreciation for the art of filmmaking in the equestrian world,
