Ava Noone is an 18-year-old FEI dressage rider from Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. She has been riding since birth, growing up on her family’s 60-horse boarding and training farm, where she now works with clients, sponsors, and vendors. Competing across the East Coast, Ava has earned her USDF Bronze and Silver Medals and has made a name for herself in the dressage world.
She placed 3rd in the country at the US Dressage Finals, finished 4th in North America in the team test at the North American Youth Championships (NAYC), and placed 15th individually. She also placed 9th in the 14-18 Dressage Seat Equitation at the Festival of Champions. At the 2024 Region 1 Championships, she placed 4th in the Fourth Level Junior Championship, 5th in the Prix St. Georges Junior Championship, and won the Dressage Seat Equitation class with an 86%, qualifying her for the next Festival of Champions.
Ava trains with her mother, Krista Noone, at home, alongside George Williams at shows and virtually, and also works with Moray Nicholson from England. She is deeply connected to her top horse, Gucci, a talented but quirky KWPN gelding with shivers, who has been one of her greatest teachers.
Beyond competition, Ava is passionate about sharing the realities of being a young rider, trainer, and student through her Instagram, @akn_dressage. She is also an advocate for mental health and is determined to one day compete in the Olympics. Despite facing challenges, including losing her home in a fire in 2024, she continues to push forward with resilience and dedication.
